Superyachts at the Monaco Grand Prix

27/05/2012

A record number of Superyachts converged on Monaco for the 70th Monaco Grand Prix. The Port of Hercules was overflowing as usual, with a maximum of yachts anchored in the bay as can be seen in the picture below. This photo was taken shortly after the end of the Grand Prix, but after the rain storm which arrived minutes ater the end of the race.

Attendance was up this year in Monaco, as the event produced a sixth winning driver out of six Formula One races. The Australian driver Mark Webber won his second Monaco Grand Prix. Monaco resident Nico Rosberg came home less than a second behind.
